"Good.....And Cheap!"
Got my first bundle yesterday and tried one after dinner....it started off like expected, mild with only a little flavor, but after about 20% it savored up with a nice sweet nuttiness I expect from dominicans and I will buy again..Auction saves a few dollars every time!

"Updated review in the interest of Fairness"
I thought it only fair to post that these cigars have gotten better with some aging in the humidor,as hoped. Had one yesterday and it burned even, drew with no problems and lasted about what is considered normal for it's size. It's true with cigars as it is with wine, cheese and a good woman...they all get better with time.

"My Best Auction 'Win' Yet"
I got 3 bundles of 20 for $48.00 this month (Oct., '06)and with shipping they came to $.95 each. What a steal! I smoked one right out of the box for future comparison purposes thinking I'd need to age them. Wrong! I shared a few with my golf buddies that weekend and gave my son a dozen for his 21st birthday. All agree this stick holds its own with $3 + smokes. I put about 40 away and can't wait to see what a few months in the humi will do. I'd pay full price for these but I'll be watching the auctions for another wholesale lot.

"A solid Dominican."
In my Great Quest for Truth and the perfect bundle, the VLD400 is a solid find. Aging for only a couple of weeks now has smoothed out more of the characteristic Dominican flavor. On an afternoon with a book on the porch, you can puff through two of these pleasant smokes pretty easily. This is one of the better offerings from the Value Line; you will not be embarrassed handing one of these to your guests.

"Great Value"
The day before I received the shipment of these cigars, I had received a shipment of a top of the line cigar from another company. Since I had never smoked this highly rated brand before, I was eagerly looking forward to lighting one up. To say I was bitterly disappointed was putting it mildly. The burn was so bad that I was afraid I was going to burn myself smoking it. The next day I received the shipment of Value Line Dominican 400 Lonsdale. With much trepidation I lit one up. Wow!!! What a pleasent surprise. The draw was smooth and even; the taste was outstanding. All in all an outstanding buy and well worth the price. I highly recommend this cigar.

"Hope these 'age' well !"
I stopped buying bundles awhile ago because of the inconsistency of the product and because you can now obtain some good quality cigars in the "5-pack" offerings. Still, trying to cut back on only smoking $3.00 and up cigars, I thought I'd give these guys a try. Lit one up as soon as they arrived. Tried another the next day. The cigar itself is soft & spongy to the touch, giving the impression that it's not packed to tight. I thought this would bode well for the draw but the effect was too extreme. Because there was so many "voids" in the construction, the cigar constantly went out. When it did stay lit it burned up the sides unevenly. The TORO size I ordered burned itself out in 1/2 hour, the burn rate was so fast; when most TORO's I smoke can last almost a full hour. Taste was so-so. I know not to expect the same quality of smoke from a cigar that clocks in at around $1.25 a smoke compared to the Fuentes, CAO's & Montesino's that are my usual brands so I'm gonna set these in the humidor for a little while and hope they get better with age.

"Can't tell much of a difference - quality is there"
If you're looking to cut down on your super premiums but don't want to cut down on taste and satisfaction, try these cigars. They consistantly give me quality smoke, nice draw, tight quality roll, 1.75 inches of ash before it breaks away. Great smoke for the everyday smoker at a little more than a buck a piece.
