"Impossible to smoke"
This isn't a bad tasting smoke if you can keep it lit. After re-lighting the cigar for the 10th time, I gave up. My smokes are kept in ideal conditions yet this cigar was very difficult to draw from.

"A mediocre cigar."
The flavor and aroma on this cigar are fairly good, however the burn and consistency are what kills this cigar. You spend more time adjusting the burn than you do enjoying it. Not worth the venerable Rocky Patel label...

"One of my favorites"
I came across these serving in Iraq, and they have become my favorite "stock" cigar. A nice balance of strength and flavor, I have ordered several boxes over the years - am split between these and the 92 Vintage as to which is my favorite, but I always find myself wishing I had bought a box of Honduran classic than whatever else I bought on a whim because of a sale.

"Not one of Rocky's Best"
Got one of these in a sampler and was largely disappointed. I am usually a fan of RP sticks but this one does not make the grade. The first inch came with some nice licorice flavor but after that disappeared nothing much followed. The draw was extremely tight and the burn was as bad as I have ever seen. Even when the cigar opened up half way through, any sort of flavor was hard to pick out.

"No Thanks"
This has been in my humi for a little while now and I finally smoked it last night. Disappointed. First light it tasted great, I was excited. Soon after it got real bland, and the rest of it tasted like burnt wood. My friend came outside and said it smelled like crap. I thought the bouquet was pretty good, earthy with notes of chocolate. But the taste was crap. I am a huge RP fan so this was disappointing. Wont be buying again.

"Perfect Draw"
It was my first box pressed cigar. Quite impressive. As usual with RP,excellent draw. Takes a bit getting use to for someone use to a tougher draw. Very flavorful, perfect ash and consistent burn. I sparked one up right out of the UPS box...excellent. 2 months in the humi for the balance..can't wait.

"My first Rocky Patel experience"
After sitting in the humidor for a week I decided to fire one up. Great taste, lots of smoke and an easy draw. One of my new favorites.

"a dud in my book"
I got a 5 pack of these. 1st one tasted terrible, put it out. 2nd one canoed, wrapper blew up. No corojo flavor, very bland tasting. My humi sits at 67-68%, so it wasnt that. I have 3 to go, probably give them to Freddy the moocher, who don't know what he's smoking. This is the first time I have been disappointed in A RP cigar. Wish I hadnt ran out of fact select corojo's, they are the bomb!

"Balance and affordability"
I got a the Rocky Patel 10-cigar sampler pack having fallen in love with the Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 Robustos. Don't get me wrong, all Rocky Patels (or at least the ones I've tried) are great cigars. The Honduran classic falls somewhere between the spiciness of the Sun Grown, and the sweetness of the Vintage 1992. Everything about this cigar was perfect, nice smooth "classic cigar " flavor with that silky smooth aftertaste you get with all the Rocky Patels, an easy draw, a perfect wrap, and a great burn. My personal preference is the '92 Vintage but this is still a great cigar. Rocky Patel is the way to get yourself started on cigars, priced affordably just slightly below some "premium" cigars, and a flavor that is light years away from cheap humidor fillers.
