Topper Old Fashioned Oscuro
"Not bad for a buck"
I smoke $5 to $10 cigars and was looking for a small, cheap cigar that would smoke well and cost little for those times during the day when you want a cigar but don't have time to enjoy a real good cigar. After several attempts at smaller cigars, I gave up. The draw on most smaller cigars is terrible. Decided to try a machine made for that reason. The smoke well and the flavor is okay though a little rough. Don't like these as well as Muniemaker but they are second best for the money.

"Oh Yeah!"
Y'all gotta give Topper Old Fashioned a try! These are great cigars. I enjoy these as much or more than my handmade Punch, HdM, ERDM and Bolivar cigars...no kidding. They even beat my favorite Texas machine made and they're very good cigars!
These perfectos are a great size, great draw and a great taste. I love their rough "old fashioned" look...true, they won't win any beauty contests, but they look great to me.
I agree with some of the other reviewers here in that they give a nice tobacco and chocolate flavor. Best of all, Made in the USA. We need more companies like Topper! Buy a box and you won't regret it!

"Waste of money"
I purchased 2 boxes of these cigars 2 weeks ago and I consider that I wasted my money. I have had Topper's in the past and always enjoyed them. These were damp and almost impossible to draw. I will never buy a Topper product again.

"Great American Standard!"
The Topper Old Fashioned Perfecto is better than many hand made cigars I have smoked. It is relatively mild bodied but carries a very noticeable pleasant rich tobacco/chocolate flavor. The construction is solid, the ash is firm with a surprisingly even burn, and the draw is not too easy or hard. I love the old fashioned perfecto shape which is so hard to find, especially at an affordable price. I would recommend this smoke to anyone looking for an affordable standard go to cigar. I get an hour of smoking pleasure out of one stick. Its also encouraging that this is an all American, historical, and privately owned brand made in Pennsylvania. All natural tobacco from the filler through the binder to the delicious dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. I hope this company lasts a long time.

"Ages Really Well"
These age amazingly well. The first few I smoked had a tight draw, but the flavor was nice. After a few months in the humi, now draw beautifully, and have great flavor. Light chocolate, with a buttery essence on the finish. Great everyday cigar for the money.

"Old Fashioned smoke that tastes great..."
I like ALL-AMERICAN cigars too, and this is a goodie, it tastes great, looks rough and masculine, is contructed tightly--perhaps it draws a little rough, but I love em as an every day cigar. If you like a good basic cigar with real tobacco flavor and aroma, this is a great cigar. Muniemaker is close competitor, but this is my preferred everyday smoke. Often, I bypass the more expensive $5.00 plus ones and reach for one of these. If you like American made, real old-fashioned smokes, try the DeNobili too, but this is a real winner too. Why smoke those awful Drug Store brands when smokes like this are available from Famous at the same prices!

"The best low cost somke around"
I have tried several low end cigars for mowing the lawn and dog walking. They generally end up getting tossed in the trash because they are so bad. The Topper is a very good smoke for the money and is perfect when time does not allow you a more expensive or larger smoke. I smoke mostly full bodied cigars and was happy to find this is a good medium to full cigar.

"A true bit of Americana."
Back when you still had to crank the handle at the gas pump, and people took you for your word,
There was a box of the "Tops" at Congdons General store, in Knife River Minn. And behind the scratched glass case at he end of the bar sat the box of these ol time cigars.
I was maybe 6 or 8 at that time, but I remember
wanting that cigar box pretty bad.
My dad had smoked this dark little perfectos every once and a while, and for some dang reason
I wanted that cigar box, I checked everyday to see how many were left.
Finally the ol man who ran the store out of sense of annoyed kindness put that last few in a mason jar on the bar and tossed the box at me, With a "get the hell home" Thrown in.
I still remember that smell of the inside of that box as I walked in triumph all they way home.
Taste?!, Who gives a damn what the taste like!I bet they havent changed much in the last 100 years. I keep them around for same reason I ride a Harley and shoot a Remington,
It's America man. Thats why! Thanks to Famous for carrying these!
