"Unlike Any Other"
Some other reviewers have had some bad things to say about Puros Indios and I respect their opinions. (hey Paul in Friendswood-- wanna sell your #3's?) I consider myself to be an experienced smoker of many years and keep 300-400 cigars on hand, comprised mainly of Gurkhas, Punch, Rocky Patel, Partagas, 5 Vegas, Joya De Nicaruaga, Perdomo, and Puros Indios Pyramid #3's. My first experience with this cigar wasn't too good. It tasted bitter and burned badly, needing many touch ups. But I had patience. I removed the cellophane from each and put them in the humidor for a couple of months, hoping for the best. Since then, these cigars have become one of my favorites-- with the maduro and oscuros being the best. They have a rustic, earthy aroma and hold a beautiful, dense white ash. The draw is almost a bit loose, but provides clouds of smoke to compliment the consistently wonderful burn. I truly love these cigars but I understand why others may not like them at first. These cigars must be given time to breathe in the humidor-- while others just burn fine right out of the box-- but in my experience that's just Puros Indios. These cigars have earned a place with the very best in my humidors.

Puros Indios Piramide #3
"One to not smoke."
Purchased three boxes of the Puros Indios Piramide #3, 5 x 50 in: Oscuro, Maduro and Natural on 05/2007; and now it is 03/2008. These dogs have been aging in my humidor for just under one year now, and they are the worst cigars I have ever purchased in my 35 years as a cigar aficionado. I am not complaining about the uneven burn, or the rustic wrapper; not even the lack of complexity in taste. This is simply one bad tasting cigar from start to finish and it has been that way with each and every Puros Indios #3 cigar I have smoked. This is one cigar that you should run away from. Anyone saying this is a great cigar has to be nuts!

"Looks Great in the Humidor"
They have looked so amazing in my humidor for several months--too bad I tried to smoke one! Super-duper uneven burn made me use all my butane to try to even it out. Aroma was mediochre, taste was same as a burning shopping bag. I finally pitched it and lit up an RP Sun Grown and started to have fun. The Puros will remain in my humi as handsome props.
