Independencia Robusto
"Was I lucky?"
I don't understand the bad reviews here. Had an Indepencia robusto yesterday eve. Even burn, good construction and pleasant, not overwhelming taste. Draw was excellent, reminded me of some Cubans I've smoked. Would consider buying more of these. Good value for money.

Independencia #4
"Awful"
Just an awful cigar. Horrible flavor. How this made Cigar Aficionado's top 50 list is beyond me.

"these need a while in the humi"
Your are going to want to store these in a humidor for a while. Once they get some humidity back they are OK. Remember you are only paying 2 bucks a piece.

Independencia Robusto
"A Sleeper - give them 2 yrs and WOW"
The #4 and the Robusto are the best two vitolas in this blend. The are terrible OTT; however, they age very well and really display the Nicaraguan qualities at the year mark. At the 2 yr. mark, the floral and Black Cherry notes are incredible on the finish.

Independencia Robusto
"Yuck"
I just got done smoking one. I have had it my humidor for about 2 months and decided that today was the day to try the Independencia. What a bad decision. The taste was awful, the roll was loose, and the burn was uneven. Maybe it was because it was such a hot day (95 degrees) but the cigar started to become very dry and explode as I puffed through about 50% of it. I am glad I was able to find out about this cigar through the sample pack and not by ordering an entire box. Do yourself a favor, if you truly love to relax with a good cigar, pass on this one.

Independencia #4
"surprisingly good taste"
i was surprised by the taste of this cigar. it burned better than i had anticipated, i got it in a La Aruroa sampler, this cigar was memorable. It canoed slightly but evened itself out midway thru the smoke which lasted bout 40 minutes. it has a toasted nutty flavor thru the mid section and finishes rather bold and strong. i would purchase this size again as it was much better than aniticipated, however, the construction was medicore as it canoeod early but must actually be a long filler smoke as it lasted a decent amount of time. the mid section made the cigar worth the $2 i paid for it. i got my money's worth on this cigar and would buy it again for less than $3 a stick.

Independencia Robusto
"Not up to par"
Pulled a Robusto out to spark up on the way to work. The construction was loose and had to touch up the light a few times. Was looking for better quality from La Aurora. Maybe needs more time to sit. Taste was just OK.
