Ashton Aged Maduro No. 40
"Big disappointment. Harsh. Not like an Ashton."
Famous' dark, sweet cigar If you like maduros with smooth flavor and a captivating aroma, One of Mike Smith's favorites. Dark, knobby thick wrapper. Faint pre-light aroma. Excellent white ash. Strong. Tastes like salt and pepper, with very little loamy or typical maduro flavors. Not sweet, not smooth. Too harsh. I stuck with it, to see if it got better. Uneven burn! The flavor got a tiny bit better, but still mostly pepper. Not smooth like the other Ashtons, at all. I would try more, but it was an unpleasant chore. That's unacceptable for an Ashton, or any cigar in that price range.

"One of the Best!"
Pricey, yes. But one of the best maduros made. What do you expect of Fuente besides top-quality, as well as often out of stock. These are at the top of my list!

"Tasty and not gritty"
I enjoy mild cigars and had my doubts on this maduro cigar. I have always enjoyed Ashton cigars so I gave it a shot. That was a great move as I have enjoyed these tremendously. They are not gritty like other dark cigars I have tried. They also are not so strong that it turns your stomach or leaves the feeling of chewing on aluminum in your mouth. I kept coming back for more of these.

"Great mild to medium bodied maduro!"
This was a pretty good cigar. I got a sample pack from another site and this was the only one I really enjoyed. The wrapper was ruff looking in my case, which may lead one to believe it is strong and overbearing, which was not the case. Slightly sweet wrapper, slightly sweet herbal taste, and a toasty mild aroma, that is not overbearing. Didn't want to throw it out when I had to. The only complaint I have is the high price. I would expect the cigar to be a little sweeter (what I like about maduros) for such a high price, but I will still buy it again.

"Great flavor"
This is a great cigar, I have tried three diferent sizes and the have the same characteristic maduro taste. IMO this cigar is just as good as Diamond Crown Maximus, but is easier to find and a bit cheaper. Give it a try and you will not be desappointed. Two thumbs up!!

"SWEET SMOKE! ENDS WITH COUNTLES FLAVOR"
This is my fav. smoke, but i only truely like a maduro this is miles above the patagas black. If you are new to cigar smokeing and are looking to find a sweeter cigar that is a super PRE. that does not leave a funny taste in your mouth this the cigar you will fall in love with. If you are an exp. smoker you will love the wide arrayy of flavors this cigar brings to the table. It starts one way and ends another and its all good
