These cigars are best described as petite corona perfectos that are major flavor bombs. I ve only smoked the Red package Maduro and was very pleased with the flavor and surprised by the strength. These perfectos are not winning a beauty constest and were rock hard when i got them. I kept them at 74 rh for 3 days before i couldn t resist and tried the Maduro package. I m extremely happy with this purchase considering how flavorful and strong the Maduro has been.
The appearance is pretty pitiful and its difficult to figure out which end is the foot because all the cigars, in the Maduro package, looked the same from both ends. Out of the two i smoked one had a 1/4 crack at one end so i light that end and smoked that baby with absolutely no problems. The second one had a small hole in the wrapper but again it caused no problem. The burn was a little wonky on both but caused no problems with only 1-2 minor touch ups for each cigar i smoked.
The flavor is spicy, woody, earthy, and what seems to be an a general fruit that i cannot place. The flavor is very distinct and very powerful and i was shocked by how such an ugly duckling could be so enjoyable. Its very well balanced with quite a bit of strength that can surprise you. I had to make and eat a sandwich because i could really feel the strength hitting my empty stomach from the get go. Don t smoke this on an empty stomach because these pack a punch.
These are not short smokes, each cigar took almost 50 minutes exact to smoke down to about 3/4 -1/2 . Each cigar ended up going out at the end and since they were already at a nub the cigar clearly decides when you put it down.
