"MY HONEST OPINION....."

I am a cigar smoker now for 20 years. I am lucky to have boxes of vintage sticks of Havana from 1917 to 1962. My humidor is a 10 to 1 ratio of vintage Cuban to Caribbean basin.I was looking for a cheapie . This was the first pick. I hear people tell me all the time this taste like a 58 Cuban , to which I reply, gimme that thing . Needles to say WRONG. The Don Felo Panatela is a Cuban sandwich stick, that I am guessing is made from trimmings of Jamastram s other blends and wrapped by 2nd wrapper leafs. No it isn t a 58 Cuban, but dang it, has a lot of hallmarks of the grail . I had 1 out of around 50 that was unsmokable. But for price and AMAZING taste, let s call it an acceptable loss. If you truly know your sticks, you will be inamored by these. Absolutely remarkable!

"Very poor Construction. Hot sharp taste"

I tried three out of the bundle, and won t be smoking the rest. The construction is terrible. Very loose and hard to keep lit. Uneven burning. I could deal with all of that if the flavor was to my liking. Unfortunately I found them very hot and bitter. If you can get by the construction and like a cigar with a bite, they may be fine for you. I put an 84 consistency because all three were the same.

Well worth this cheap price. When you light up it bursts with premium flavor and bouquet. You wonder how the cigar can be sold this inexpensively. As you smoke a few you may encounter inconsistencies in draw and burn. But the ones that are right make it worth the occasional minor flaws. None are duds! I m wondering if these are actually big name factory seconds. You want to smoke em all the way--a can t put it down kind of cigar. But, as I have experienced in every one of these, it s not a smoke to the nub cigar. As it gets down to the nub it s hard to keep lit, a wee bit hot and ashtray-bitter. But I m definitely going to buy more!
