"Wasn t impressed..."
You know, you hear so much about the painstaking time and effort it takes to construct a Davidoff. So I purchased this 4 cigar set because it was the most expensive of the Grand Cru portfolio thinking that would translate into a good experience. Having said that, the cigar itself smoked really well. It was very well constructed. But the flavor was meh.... It was a one dimensional stick all the way through. The flavor was ok. Had a leather and wooded flavor with a bit pepper spice. And that was pretty much it. At the end of the experience, I was left looking at the other three like, why do I need you guys? lol. As far as price goes in my humble opinion, you can get a much better much more flavorful stick without paying the Davidoff price. Perhaps I ve been spoiled with the Padron s, My Father s, Carrillo s and Fuente s of the world, but I can t justify paying that much for a one dimensional stick that was honestly very forgettable. The three stars given is based on the construction which was flawless.
