This cigar immediately filled the room with a great aroma. I enjoyed this cigar as much as any in my humidor. I have a different opinion of a premium cigar!

"A lot to love about Fuentes"

Delicious and very smooth medium bodied smoke that tastes just as good during the first third to the last. Hint of sweetness, vanilla and spices. This is exactly what I have come to expect from AF superior quality and consistency.

"don Carlos #2"

Have always wanted to try one so I broke down and bought a 5pack. smoke one shortly after getting them lite up was good with great draw and burn. Aroma was good the biggest draw back I have say is the construction. Thought it would be a lot better for all the hype and cost. while smoking cracking develop behind the band and when taking off the band it split all the way down, what a disappointment .

This remarkable work of art is worth far more than words can express!! With the Opus X being a highly sought after cigar, the no. 2 Don Carlos is far better than any of the Opus X series I ve ever had. The no. 2 is perfect in every way!! It s construction is remarkable and it burns down smooth and evenly. Totally heaven on Earth with regards to it s flavor! End of story! Thanks ?? -MARK STEELE PEACE !!

"A good smoke"

This is my first experience with the Don Carlos line. I bought a five pack of these and let them condition in my humidor for about a month. What I like: the flavor is good and consistent, definitely a medium bodied cigar but without a lot of harsh or bitter tastes. It smokes relatively smooth. The burn is good. The wrapper delivers what one would expect from a Cameroon, oily and mildly spicy. Mouthfeel is wonderful. I’m about 3/4 through the one I am smoking right now and it has been an hour of my life well spent. What I do not like: while this cigar is very consistent, I do not find it to be complex. There is decent development of flavor from start to finish, but nothing that at this price point is going to make me rush to the store to buy more. I think, having read multiple reviews and splurged a little to purchase these, that I was expecting a little more in terms of flavor. I have had far more expensive cigars that were not half as good as this, but I have also had several freebie and sampler add ins that I prefer. It’s a very good cigar that delivers pretty much everything I expect, but at $10 a stick, I really wanted something that would leave me more than just satisfied. I am satisfied with this cigar. I am just not as blown away as I hoped I would be. That said, I probably will keep a few of these in my humidor at all times because with the exception of flavor, they are flawless in every other regard. Appearance, burn, consistency, draw, are all outstanding. If I want to turn heads or impress my guests, I would absolutely reach for these, but if I had to just pick a cigar to smoke on my back porch at the end of the week, for this price point, I would probably go with an Avo or Ashton.

"OFF THE HOOK!"

The whole Don Carlos line is spectacular! But the #2 is truly OFF THE HOOK! Perfect balance of wrapper and filler flavor s! You can always go to The Don!

"Pass"

After all the hype that I had heard about the Don Carlos - I was disappointed. Overall not enough flavor and certainly not at this price point.

I've been smoking AF DC #2 for the last 3 years and I've never looked back. IMO, better than any of OpusX lines I've smoked. Aged about 2 years, and these sticks are ready to go. Construction, burn and taste are phenomenal. Put them in your humi and let nature take over!
