"Excellent Value"
Looking for a budget cigar around $1 a piece I decided to give these a try. I am very pleased with these great cigars, probably the best dollar cigar I have so far tried. A lovely chewy cigar with perfect construction and burn, medium boddied, not really complex but enjoyable with a nice peppery taste. Holds a beautiful one inch ash and burns like a dream with plenty of smoke and nice draw.

"Good cigar for the money"
Tried these cigars because of the size (it's close to the perfect size for my taste) and the sale they had a few weeks back. Turns out they have a nice medium bodied taste, burn well, are consistent and don't kill your mouth. Would like to see this brand/size in a Connecticut shade or non-maduro for the same price. Will definitely buy these Value Line cigars again--the top brands just keep getting too expensive for me. Thanks Famous Smokes for providing a good, affordable cigar for those of us who are still underemployed and enjoy a stogie to relieve the stress!

"Impressed"
I'm ordering these again because I was so impressed with my first overall experience with this unbanded puro. Wow, what can I say but it is a good everyday go to cigar. In fact, it is a great one for a "nooner" and at my age the term "nooner" takes on a totally different meaning than what most think. And the price is great, but why are you discontinuing them? You need to bring out a similar style then. Keep it up guys.

"Sad to see them go"
I find myself holding off on using these up. As I try other cigars, mostly better known, I find myself, in some way comparing them to these ... both the maduro and habano ... and they keep coming out near the top ... I've had a few that burned poorly, but mostly, they've been smooth, with good flavor, every thing that I enjoy in a good cigar. Too bad, they are depleting, and too bad that more aficionados haven't tried them and realized just how good they are.

"declining quality"
These cigars have declined in quality quite a bit over the last year or so. They went from decent quality to mixed quality to generally mediocre quality. As the saying goes... "all good things must come to an end".

"Send em back"
Hey Fred, sorry for your experience ... that bundle sounds like a fluke, like it had bugs in it. I don't work for Famous, but I've have bought a lot (for my situation) over time from them. It's rare that I have had to send something back, but check out their return policy (on the packing slip, on the website), give them a call and tell them what the problem is. Give them a chance to make it right. In my experience with them, they really want to know and make sure you have a reasonably good product. Every bundle of the Value Line Honduran 500's that I've received have been in excellent shape ... so I'm sure they can take a closer look and pick one out for you that's fine. P.S. From someone else I bought a name brand sampler encased in cellophane that was in a wooden box. I waited for a special time to open it up (months) and it turned out that the cigars were infested (eggs hatched and bugs bore through the cigars leaving holes and crumbled tobacco ... gross ... but it can happen). They sent me a new box, but told me not to wait, but to open it right away to examine the goods, then store them properly.

"Pure Crap"
I bought these on the recommendations of other customers who thought highly of this particular cigar. The bundle I received cracked and split less than 1/3 of the way down. Inspecting the others I found them dry and brittle, with holes where the wrapper began to peal. If this is what Famous sells (even if it is just 20 bucks) I'll take my business elsewhere. I've never had this problem before. I hope I don't again.

"Great little smoke for the money!"
Wow. Let me first say I'm impressed. Great cigar. Flawless construction, nice and mild. Very Complex with notes of pine and cedar. Burn flawless all the way down. Plus they're cheap enough to hand out to your friends. Definitely recommend you try a bundle of these babies.

"Robusto Maduro "Muy Especial!""
I would love to know more about this cigar ... where it was made, when it was made, the age and specific blend of tobaccos, filler, binder and wrapper ... because it is really good. It's not a high end Padron or Perdomo but ... I was thinking about buying some more, so I tried another one yesterday along with a hearty porter draught. It was so good, so smooth, nice flavor ... Oh, the cigar was good, too. Naw ... the description really applies to both (and both are about the same color). The construction, the draw, appearance, flavor are just excellent for the price. Although both have good flavor, to me, the robusto (5x50 ring guage) seems to have a better draw than the churchill (7x48), but the latter gives you more cigar. Otherwise, "imho" they are about equal in quality. I'd be interested to know if the discontinuation of this cigar is because they are out of those particular tobaccos that made up the blend or is it being marketed under a new/different name. Very good. Thanks, FSS & Nestor Plasencia.
