"Liga Privada No. 9 Corona Doble Cigars"
Liga Privada No. 9 is my favorite cigar brand. The cigars are well constructed, they burn evenly, the ash color - light grey to white - attests to the quality of the filler tobacco.

"The Ferrari of Cigars"
No one on the planet makes a better cigar. Opus X doesn t come close. Perhaps the Padron 1964 Anniversario comes close. Unfortunately, they, like everthing else of extreme quality, can only be enjoyed by the rich and famous. $80 for 5 smokes would send my wife packing . . . I ll take two.

"Wrong size for this blend"
Liga Privada #9 is a blend that has cigar lovers rushing to get more, myself included. There is a highly negative review of this cigar on Famous. I feel that particular reviewer may have put out his cigar before he got to the good stuff. The double corona is incredibly boring, hard to keep lit, and mild to a fault for the first several inches of the smoke. By the mid point, about 4 inches in, it starts giving up all the flavor and performance that makes this one of the best selling and sought after sticks on the market. In my experience, it takes some patience with this size to get to the good stuff, but it is worth the wait. The belicoso and robusto sizes give all the good stuff right up front and are intense throughout. They’re like hard good sex. The double corona is like great sex after 20 minutes of obligatory foreplay. I guess it boils down to a matter of what you are in the mood for. The body and flavor of liga #9s are unmatched. I’m a huge fan of this blend in robusto and belicoso size, and one of the many trying to get them. If I had this one to smoke again, I probably would have clipped off the first 3 inches of the cigar to get to the orgasmic part right away. I’m impatient, and don’t like to spend time nurturing the burn. As far as flavor, you can’t find anything better when this cigar hits the sweet spot. It’s kind of beyond words. I can say “lightly sweet”, “oaky cedary”, “nutmeg faint pepper”, but none of those descriptions really do this justice. It is a must smoke cigar; a unique experience that no cigar smoker should pass on if they get the chance. The shorter sizes are better in my opinion, but if you can get ahold of any of them, grab them while you can.

"Great cigar! Love these."
This is a great cigar. I d make them a daily cigar if they weren t so expensive. Great draw. Burn line was a little irregular but no biggie. Not sure I d go for this size again but overall I would smoke the Liga No9 s anytime!

"Let'em sit a few and you'll love'em"
These are simply superb! Those who had bad experiences, smoked them too soon. You need to let these sit in the humidor for 2/3 weeks. I keep my humidor stocked, placing recently purchased on the bottom. If you follow these thoughts you will understand why people pay the price to get these great smokes.

"Probably the best cigar on the market today."
I never cared for the Drew Estate line of cigars, but they hit a homerun with this stick. From its appearance to its start to finish burn, it is by far the finest non-Cuban on the market. The only problem is that it is too pricey to be an everyday cigar.

"Just plain NASTY"
Purchased a 5-pack of these (was going to buy a box) from the well known auction site. Paid $9 apiece. From the very first puff I knew I was in trouble. I like my cigars strong but this thing tasted very funky like I imagine road tar tastes like. It certainly smelled like road tar. With each puff it felt like the roof of my mouth was burning. I had just eaten a turkey wrap 20 minutes before which had brown mustard on it and I thought that might be causing the foul taste. After about 2 inches I put it down, gargled with salt water and lit of a Oliva Serie V Ligero, I was so happy with the taste of the Oliva. After I finished the Oliva (90 min) I relit the Liga and it was the same $hit. I put the other 4 at the bottom of my #2 150 qt. coolidor. With any luck I might find them in a year or 2 and give them another try.

"Outstanding"
This is a meaty full bodied smoke that is rich and complex minus the harsh bite. The aroma is wonderful and immediately put a smile on my face; I found a gem. This is everything you would expect from well aged tobacco. Construction is superb. In the hand it feels firm and heavy as if it's rolled tight but surprisingly, the draw was perfect. All I can say is "WOW"!
