CAO MX2 CigarsGreat powerful smokeGreat powerfull rich smoke. Almost a woody taste to it. Not an everyday cigar, but great for those special times when you can give full dedication to it.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Toro by Kevin of Lynnwood Wa on July 22, 2010Powerful SmokeI have smoked several boxes of MX2 Maduro and find them to be a very enjoyable cigar. I have not had draw issues as others have mentioned. This is a very full flavor cigar and may not be suited for a new cigar smoker. The only complaint I have had is that the wrapper wants to split if they have not had week or so in your humidor before smoking . Overall I give the MX2 high marks. Grab a Coors Lite, fire one of these up and relax.

This review was written about CAO Mx2 Box Press by Special Ed of Queens, NY on May 25, 2010Best Maduro Cigars EVERI have smoked many of these great cigars. I've never had a single issue with light, burn, or draw. The flavor of these wonderful little numbers is amazing. It is not for the Newbie smoker. I'm not however some kind of extreme afficianado. All in all I would highly recommend these and will purchase many more.
This review was written about CAO Mx2 Daggers 10/5 by PathsOfDarkness of SLC UT on May 16, 2010Excellent Smoke!I like everything about this cigar. Very well build, rich and tasty masterpiece. Great par with Scapa single malt whisky. I do recommend it to try.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Beli by Zolt of Ohio on April 5, 2010Overrated. LX2 is betterAfter seeing such high ratings at Famous I bough a couple of each X2 CAO from my local cigar shop. Well ... they are all good and well constructed with LX2 being superior to two other blends (which is confirmed by its place in CA Top 25 in one of recent years). MX2 which I am smoking right now is definitely very smooth and creamy, as advertised, but it lacks the sweetness, spice and flavor present in LX2 and my other favorites such as Padrons and Arturo Fuente Don Carlos. My verdict is - if you are not very price sensitive go for those top brands. If price is important for you - CAO will not be a bad choice.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Rob by GF of Moscow on February 11, 2010Wood DowelsI bought 1 box of these and loved them. Since the first box I bought 3 more and ended up thowing half of them away. The draw is impossible. Even with the stupid poker thing it is like trying to smoke a wood dowel, or a roll of nickels.
This review was written about CAO Mx2 Daggers 10/5 by xjason of Rehrersburg PA on January 3, 2010The caomx2 stays smooth from start to finish. GoodThe burn is even, tasteful and smooth. I wouldn't call it a beginners cigar but if you are developed as a cigar smoker, it is smooth and robust with even burn. The ash is fine and finishes very well.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Toro by Timothy of USA on December 27, 20093 out of 5This cigar gets 3 out of 5 stars from me because thier is just not much flavor with this cigar.Looks good burns good but thats about it.Not worth the money, give me a camacho select any day,YUM!!!!!
This review was written about CAO MX2 Rob by mark of alabama on October 5, 2009Good SmokeReal good smoke for the price!!!
This review was written about CAO MX2 Toro by BDanner of B-Ville on September 27, 2009DisappointedWell made cigar, but not a lot of flavor. Boring.
This review was written about CAO Mx2 Gordo by Pat of MN on August 19, 2009Great cigar but save your money.Great cigar taste. Just like a Conuco Toro. Can't tell the difference except for the price. a box of 20 CAO MXll Toro's is $24.00 higher than the Conuco Toro's. Same taste and burn all the way down to the nub.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Toro by Ron of Eugene, Oregon on June 25, 2009inconsistent box, 4 unravelled loose roll or tight1/2 the box was a good smoke but several unravelled even with a punch cut..even more the first wrappers needed repairs...will not order again
This review was written about CAO Mx2 Gordo by Jeff G of Downers Grove IL on June 1, 2009Luscious RobustoThese sticks arrive from Famous, like most do going ground, on the dry side. Stuff 'em in your humi for a month or longer to mellow and get reconstituted, then you'll be most pleased with the spicy coffee bean cedar cinnamon hints that swirl around your taste buds from first puff to stubby finish.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Rob by Gordo of Santa Cruz on April 29, 2009Great Taste but...Great tasting cigar but for some reason, 3 out of 5 cigars are hard to draw from.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Toro by James of Manassas, VA on April 28, 2009Didn't ImpressMy first try of this smoke, and it was not worth the price. The draw was extremely tight and did not produce much smoke. Even after running a poker into both ends in the hope of loosening it up a bit did not produce much help. It actually self-extinguished near the half way point, despite the fact I had been drawing on it consistently. It wasn't until I got to the last third that it actually produced decent amounts of smoke. The burn wasn't very consistent and the wrapper actually split as I got to the second half. I had just received this smoke a few days before and placed it in my humidor. Perhaps more time in the humidor would have produced more satisfactory results.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Toro by B.H. of CT on March 16, 2009Delicious...very tight drawI actually like the tough draws on all the CAO minis. This one is best after a few hours out of the humi. A nice complex, rich and subtle flavor. Hints of cocoa, not too much spice, a real treat right down to the nub.
This review was written about CAO Mx2 Daggers (5) by Madrok of Virginia on February 27, 2009Burn, BurnUmmm wouldn't be my first choice to buy a box of these. Although I have a box stalked. I keep these to smoke every now and then and keep my humidor full. I think someone was made when they rolled these . Wrapped just a wee bit tight which makes me work hard on the draw. AWWWW man ....feeling lite heading. It's not top of the line but it has a nice aroma to it and people question it. if you can't handle a strong full boddied cigar then this one is not for you. This one doesn't come close to the GO!
This review was written about CAO MX2 Beli by Ron of Cali on February 9, 2009WOW!The next best thing to a Padron. Nice full boddied cigar. finishes up real nice. Gotta be a real man to smoke this stick. "Guy's don't give these away"
This review was written about CAO MX2 Beli by Ron of Cali on February 9, 2009Very good smokeA fine stick from CAO. Excellent taste, sometimes the draw is less than par, overall a great box. Just please throw five more in there (RP wannabe).
This review was written about CAO MX2 Beli by Phil of Clevelandsville on January 25, 2009Meet Dr Jekyll & Mr HydeRobusto - First half of this stick was a disaster; uneven burn, wavering smoke, dull bland single sided taste, and not what a CAO should be. Who twisted this stick? Some dude in Darfur?
Second half was altogether different; full luscious smoke, nutty earthy blends, smooth burn and aromatic. But half a stick?? I wish it was the other way around so I didn't have to suffer through the first half.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Rob by sfbay of San Francisco on January 20, 2009so sogot a freebie with an order, glad i did. i wouldn't pay a lot for these because it's typical CAO - not a lot of taste and a big price to go with it.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Rob by rseaman of canastota, ny on January 19, 2009One of the bestThis is my favorite full flavored cigar
This review was written about CAO Mx2 Gordo by Andy C of Kentucky on December 7, 2008Great if...you can suck the chrome off a trailer hitch. Got a box in July, just finished the last one tonight. I had such high hopes. I am very disappointed. Of the box, 10 were smokable. So, they'll go great underneath the mower, down the disposal, best in the fireplace while you sip your whisky or tequila or ale.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Rob by Mark of of Earth on November 25, 2008Greatness in cigar formGreat cigar, goes perfect with a whiskey on the rocks or tequila even better with a dark ale.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Toro by Tyler of California on November 21, 2008Great Cigar - but very hard draw. Anomaly????I have smoked several of these quality, full flavored cigars and have always enjoyed them. I just ordered a box and have only somked one. The flavor and comlexity were there, but it had a very hard draw. So much so, that it was difficul to keep it lit. Gone was the usual mouth full of smoke I have experienced with this cigar on other occasions. Hopefully this was a fluke and the whole box will not be like this.
This review was written about CAO Mx2 Gordo by Kent of Key West on November 6, 2008Great Great everybody should try itGreat Great..... everybody should try it
This review was written about CAO MX2 Toro by kin lok wong of new york staten island on November 4, 2008Great Cigar, But....Smoked 3 of these over the last few weeks from my local B&M (sorry famous). The first two were absolutely wonderful, great Maduro flavors, smooth even burn, just a great cigar. The last, while maintaining those qualities was very hard to draw. Will I smoke again, Yes but not if I keep having the draw issue.
This review was written about CAO Mx2 Gordo by Robert of Central on October 24, 2008CAO Scores Yet Again !!!!CAO has scored yet again! The MX2 is a beautifully constructed cigar, burned absolutely perfect, and was consistent all the way to the nub. Reminds me of Onyx Reserve, but is sooo much better! CAO is proving that they are a force to reckon with in the cigar industry.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Toro by Steve of Willowbrook, Illinois on October 12, 2008mx2 quality control problem?I've Loved this cigar but the latest orders are rolled too tight to enjoy. Quality control problems? Clearly they aren't flow testing "every cigar" as they say in their DVD. I order cao for the construction and wonderful draw... so this is a major shift in brand identity to me. Bad cigars happen, but bad boxes shouldn't.... quality is everything.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Beli by Lew of redding ca on October 9, 2008This was a smokey explosion of Maduro goodness! This thing lasted about 2 hours. It was freezing outside but this big fella kept me warm with it's sweet double maduro zestiness! I would smoke it again!
This review was written about CAO MX2 Rob by Yoop of Oklahoma on October 6, 2008BEST MADUROBEST MADURO IN ROBUSTO SIZE I EVER GOT MY HANDS ON. PERIOD.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Rob by steve2812 of Santa Rosa on August 22, 2008High hopes were met! After trying the Maduro, I couldn't wait to try the Mx2. Great flavor with very good looks. Even the wrapper calls out to you.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Rob by Henry of Oak Forest on August 18, 2008Great MaduroI love these cigars, I just ordered my fourth box (3 toro & 1 Gordo). In my opinion they are second in taste to the Edge (maduro) from Rocky Patel. My only issue with the CAO MX2 (as well as the RP Edge) is a slighty inconsistant burn. Other than that, these cigars, as most from CAO, are some of the best around especially for the price.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Toro by Joe B of South of Boston, MA on August 4, 2008Great right out of the boxThe MX-2 is such a great stick right out of the box, but let these sit for a few months and they get even better! A superb everyday cigar.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Rob by JB of California on July 23, 2008ForgettableNot a terrible smoke, but not a great one either. The cigar looks presentable, but the flavor was nothing to write home about. The burn was very uneven and wasn't wrapped too well.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Rob by Mike of Birmingham on June 20, 2008Great CigarThese cigars are great! The draw is flawless, just like its taste which is perfect. However at the very beginning and the very end of the cigar the taste isnt half as good as the rest. Overall this cigar is a 9.5 only because no cigar is perfect, but this one is damn close.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Toro by Steve of Michigan on June 17, 2008BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT EVER!I just have to say this is the most disappointing maduro Ive ever paid TOO much for. I can not say enough bad things about this smoke. The only good thing I can say is that the construction is perfect. The taste leaves absolutley NOTHING to be desired! I bought a box, smoked 4, and simply GAVE the others to friends.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Rob by Paul of Vacouver on June 13, 2008Meh... it's a decent stick, little mild for me thothis cigar has an easy draw. Although it lacks on flavor, and aroma. The Smoke is light and weak, but is a pleasant stick to smoke. The MX2, in my opinion is a great starter cigar. It it well made, with the exception of the wrapper, on both of my MX2's the wrapper split along the legnth as i smoked(could have been a humi issue from the shop i got it from as the cigars were a little firm). the burn is a nice and even one, and the ash... omg the ash was nice and firm burned about an inch and a half before i had to knock it off as not to wear it..
All in all... if you like mild cigars, the CAO MX2 rob.. is for you..
This review was written about CAO MX2 Rob by D. Tennant of fla on May 28, 2008Slow and long burning.Great, one of my fav's.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Beli by Jim of Jacksonville/Atlanta on May 27, 2008CAO you have yourselves a real winner.CAO CIGARS DELIVER EVERY TIME.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Beli by barry of westchester il. on April 13, 2008a perfect 10 across the boardcao cigars will not let you down.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Toro by barry of westchester il. on March 26, 2008A Taste of HeavenI read about CAO's MX2 a while ago and then went into my local cigar shop and finally bought one (Toro). After the first draw and taste of the cigar I knew right away I must have these. I immediately came home and ordered a box. The draw on every one have been consistent. The taste of this cigar is what ever other full-bodied cigar ought to strive for, it's bold, and flavorable, and when mixed with it's delisious aroma, this cigar excites all the senses. Don't let your humidor be without one. Perfect with a shot of scotch on the backdeck after a stressful day. 2 thumbs up on this one.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Toro by Dan of Hillsboro, Oregon on March 15, 2008Totally disgustingAfter reading some mixed reviews, I decided to try these anyway. What a waste of money. I cannot quite remember the last time I was so thoroughly disappointed in a cigar as I am in these way over-priced sticks of tobacco. Save your money and buy some swisher sweets, at least then you'll get what you paid for.
Never again!
This review was written about CAO MX2 Beli by Jeff of MN on March 11, 2008Pure GarbageThis cigar looked great and got good reviews; however it started out tasting like a really big cigarette with no character, and finished strong but not with the full flavor I expected but more like plastic and newspaper rolled together. It burned poorly and very uneven. My reward was the nasty headache it gave me and the after taste of an old womans perfume. I threw away about half-way through. I will never buy again. Especially disappointing after the Diplomaticos No. 2 I smoked the night before.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Beli by DBates of Canada on March 8, 2008Great tasting smoke, Beautiful wrapperGreat smoke. Leave in humidor for a while without the wrapper and it gets even better. My wrappers aged very nicely and took on a dark, oily look and texture. I don't get into all the kinds of tastes and aromas. Just a very nice cigar that drew and tasted great!
This review was written about CAO MX2 Toro by Billy S. of New Rochelle, NY on November 19, 2007Probably will not buy again.I checked the reviews of this cigar before I purchased them and all of them sounded positive. My experience was not pleasant. The cigar's draw was extremely light and the burn was uneven. Since this was a Maduro X2, I was expecting a full-flavored smoke, but I found it to be extremely light in flavor. Overall I am disappointed and probably will not try this one again.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Beli by Mike W of Owings, Maryland on November 15, 2007WMD Class Cigar!Back during the cold war of the eighties, the MX (Peacekeeper ICBM) was designed and developed to be the "end all" weapon of mass destruction. Now I don't know where CAO got their inspiration to name their MX2 cigars but an analogy to the old three stage rocket is apt. Put a match to this guy and it takes off with smooth power and volumes of smoke that builds to the end. It has just enough complexity with its six different fillers and wrappers to keep even a moderate strength smoker interested.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Beli by T. Vasseur of Hawthorne, Ca. on August 17, 2007Great SmokeNot matter where you get them, the Mx2 line is easily one of the best values in similar price points. Conservatively marked at $5-$10 a smoke (Depending on Size/Location), they are a no brainer for nearly any occasion. If you own a humidor, you better start stocking these smokes because you will never be disappointed... 2 boxes smoked through an only had 1 with burn issues (could have been humidity induced due to climate), and even then I had no problem lighting it back up to enjoy what was left! If you like a consistent, smooth tasting maduro, this is it. RECOMMENDATION: After Dinner with a dark beer, or on the gold course.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Beli by B. Johnson of WA on July 8, 2007Excellent SmokeWife bought these for me & she knowns what I like.
Box is beautiful & she will use it to store some of her sewing items. My first MX2 was excellent in every way, very well constructed, beautiful dark wrapper, good pre-light aroma, very tightly packed, good draw, even burn & excellent maduro flavors. Not as good as a Gurka G3, but better than standard Padrons. I will buy these again. Famous did a good job of shipping & they arrived in excellent condition.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Rob by David H. of Las Vegas on May 27, 2007Cao MX2 one fine stickOne fine everyday 2 hour smoke, top 5 maduro under 10 bucks a stick get a few and stash them away they are buttery and ready to go in a few months.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Beli by DJ of on April 2, 2007Excellent !!!One of the very best cigars I have ever had. The draw got even better after aging for about a year. Burns very well with a very rich flavor worth savoring.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Beli by Mike of Vermont on March 21, 2007ONE OF THE VERY BEST AT ANY PRICE!This is one fantastic cigar!! Like having a really great rich chocolate dessert without the calories. Tasty from start to finish, full flavored yet silky smooth. A bargain price compared to many super premiums.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Beli by Clarke of Panama City on January 18, 2007Overall, a good cigar.I liked almost everything about this cigar. The draw was only a slight "drawback"!! It seemed to be just a tad on the tight side, but didn't take much away from the overall enjoyment I got from it. A good repeat cigar. Got to try the CX2 next!!
This review was written about CAO MX2 Beli by Gene Robidoux of CT on December 29, 2006One of my favoritesA real good smoke. This was the first maduro I have ever smoked and I was very suprised by the strength of it. Not too strong, not too mild, just right. Five boxes later, I can still claim this as my favorite smoke. Highly recommended and at a good price.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Beli by Jay Lesko of MD on December 10, 2006Started good, ended poorlyVery well constructed with a rich, dark wrapper. Burn was very nice and the flavor, full. However, when I got to the last couple inches it began to taste of nuts that had been sitting out for too long, not very appetizing.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Rob by James of Nebraska on September 29, 2006On my list of favorites! This cigar has it all. It looks great, draws well, produces a nice white ash and delivers great taste. When you can find them, buy them, they're worth the effort!
This review was written about CAO MX2 Rob by Boxtakilla of Broken Arrow, OK on September 16, 2006Not that greatThis is just a review of two MX2 cigars. Both had the same results. Great appearance. Wrapped tight and tough draw. Had a nice taste to it but left my mouth dry. I would buy these again, however; these cost a little more than I want to spend for a so so cigar.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Rob by Scott of Arizona on August 7, 2006Second only to the Brazilias in flavor. In my top 5I`ve written one other of these and they were both for a CAO product.A great smoke any time of the day.
This review was written about CAO MX2 Rob by Paul Dukes of Pa on January 8, 2006A Winner It must be tried to be appreciated. Full, rich flavors that go beyond CAOs Brazilla. The stick I smoked burned a little unevenly, but this is definitely the kind of cigar you sit down and savor. I received mine when I purchased a few of the Conmemorativo samplers. Since then, Ive been waiting for it to become available on a regular basis. As with all of CAOs cigars, a really interesting smoke. Definitely for those who enjoy full bodied cigars.
