I hate to be the bubble buster here but I recently bought a box of delicas maduro, solely on Padron's reputation. I had tried corticos and enjoyed them greatly. The first few sticks were great. Burn, taste, draw, all up to my expectations. Then I got one that absolutely blew me away. After about half way down the stick, the taste was awful! Then it looked like pur tar was oozing out of the foot. Needless to say I trashed the cigar, assuming that something very rare (and bad) had happened. I put the remainder of the box in my humidor for a few weeks. About 3 sticks later it happened again. And again. At least 3 of the 20 had this problem. I'm leaving the rest in my humidor for at least 3 more months in hopes that this will fix the problem. I've emailed 3 different 'advice' gurus about the problem and they are all completely surprised and have no suggestions that I haven't tried except to let them soak.

Very unique! It is a very well built cigar. Great full bodied taste, with something only found in this cigar, that I cant quite put my finger on. Whatever it is, I LIKE IT!! KUDOS!!!

I recently purchased a box of Padron 5000 Maduro. I have also purchased several 5 packs of both Natural and Maduro. Famous Smoke Shop has sent me cigars in top condition. For those of you that have not smoked these cigars you are missing a real treat. It is amazing how consistent they are from cigar to cigar. The draw, aroma and taste are exceptional. Over the years I have learned the draw of many cigars is an obstacle for enjoying them. But the Padron 5000 draw allows for the full appreciation of the cigar. It is definitely the real deal.

There are many excellent cigars on the market in that $4-$5 range, but the Padron is, in my opinion the most flavorful, well constructed stick in their class. Everybody has different tastes, but I swear, if you don't like this baby, you're hard to please.

This cigar is my absolute favorite, closely followed by the 3000 Maduro. This is the cigar that put me on the path to loving maduro above all others.
