Onyx Reserve CigarsGreat smoke I bought a 5-pack of these not too long ago. After smoking the first four, I felt the same way as J Friedman. They were horribly harsh; pretty much unsmokeable. I left the fifth one in my humidor until it was the last cigar I had (because I hated them). It sat for about a month and a half, and it was the best smoke I've ever had. I DEFINITELY recommend letting them sit for a little while.

Down to the last 2 and the draw has been very inconsistent on them. Some the draw was perfect and when it is this is a great cigar. Others, probably 4 or 5 of the box, are very tight. Running a darning needle thru them and cutting them back did not help much. Almost unsmokable
This review was written about Onyx Reserve #4 by Rich M of Wi. on July 31, 2010Bad draw and burn, Great taste....I thought I would try these and like the other reviewers this cigar has a very bad draw and gets impossible after lit. If that is not bad enough it started to burn down the middle of the roll and became hot at the mouth even with only 1" burned off the end. However the wrapper burn looks fine and uniform. You can see the small burn down the middle by looking at the end (about the diameter of a small soda straw). I have never seen a cigar do this before.

There was a lack of taste and what was there was dull nutty/woody. I know, that doesn't sound that bad but it's only because I'm not good at describing it. I thought that maybe my palate just wasn't ready for it. So I swished some water around to sort of start fresh. But the cigar tasted the same. Now I'm stuck with 9 more.
Would have rather lit an Ugly Coyote.

I've smoked a lot of cigars in my time, but this is one I'll always buy a box of when I run out. I can't believe this isn't an 8 dollar or higher cigar. Great from start to finish.
