Oliva Serie G Cigarsmy favoriteI just realized I have 6 empty Oliva G boxes, so i guess I've smoked 150 of these (less the ones my golf buddies smoked.)
I really like these. Mild to medium, I don't toss them until they are 2 inches long. Consistent, great draw, great burn.
They replaced the AF Double Chats in my humidor.
Beware - Oliva V series are much stronger.
This review was written about Oliva Serie G Churchill by nicholas of birmingham, mi on July 10, 2010Smooth As Silk!!!WOW! This is an amazing smoke! I feel pretty sure about my palate, and it had great flavor. I'm more of a bold flavor guy, and I love getting pepper and coffee in my cigars. This little guy came to me in the Oliva 10 sampler and was the first one I smoked. I would honestly have to rate it RIGHT next to the Padron Anniversary 1964 naturals. Same mildness and similar flavor, creamy almost with some nutty backrounds. Smoked this one down to nothing, and didn't want it to end. While everyone has there own palate, I'm sure this will be a hit with almost anyone that smokes it. I'm definately going to pick up a box, as soon as I have room in my humidor.
This review was written about Oliva Serie G Robusto by Kyle M. of Morgan Hill, California on June 6, 2010I'm A Big FanOh Yeah! Even my wife was a fan of the aroma. Medium is the perfect call on this smoke. I bought 2 to try, Then re-ordered 10. The draw, in my novist opinion, was perfect. This makes my hour commute bareable. A must have in the humidor.
This review was written about Oliva Serie G Double Robusto by Bryan of Baton Rouge on April 6, 2010Save your $$OK, so they really aren't that expensive, but I expected much better from Oliva. I smoke predominately Villazon cigars, Topper and a Texas made stogie, Travis Club Senators. I had heard soooo many people brag about Oliva that I had to try one today. Tried five, as a matter of fact.
I got the Special G, I really like the look of this cigar and had high hopes. I *will* say they were consistent...consistently bad. Hot, lack luster flavor and they all had wrapper tears that someone, I suppose the roller, had covered over with a patch of tobacco.
I'll stick with Villazon handmades and my fave machine smokes. BTW, never have had a Cain, Rocky Patel, Tatuaje or any of those other newfangled brands and I will tell ya, no matter how much folks brag on 'em, I never will. Stick with the tried and true, I say.
This review was written about Oliva Serie G Special G by Kevin of Texas on February 18, 2010Great quick smokeI've been a big Oliva fan for many years. The Oliva G Serie is the best value for cigars to be found anywhere. A consistently smooth smoke. It retains its flavor, even when re-lit. The Serie G cigarillo is the finest short smoke to be found. Great taste, burns even, a pleasing aroma, even to non-smokers. About two out of every 50 will have a loose wrapper. Not a bad trade-off.
