Our Customer Reviews for
La Flor Dominicana Ltd Ed CigarsPerfect gift for any cigar loverAll cigars in the box were of the highest quality, no construction or appearance problems. As for the taste, I liked some more than the others. You can see that they all have a rating above 90 at the Famous web site which tells something. This box would be an ideal gift for any true cigar enthusiast. One recommendation: after purchasing and opening the box remove cigars from the box or, if you decide to leave them in the box, turn them 180 degrees about their axis (labels down) and give them a week or so in the humidor. I found serious burn problems (canoeing) with the first two sticks which I think were caused by uneven humidification during storage due to the construction of cigar holders. After I turned the remaining three cigars and they rested a week in humidor the burn was fine.
This review was written about La Flor Dominicana Los Perfectos Sampler by GF of Moscow on January 22, 2010Not your fathers DominicanOnly recently have I tried the LFDs again. Typically a mild (at best) Dominican, their line-up now has the Ligeros that produce the amazing flavours and complexities. This Double Press is one to try again if you are a Honduran or Nicaraguain smoker. It is in no way the LFD of 20 years ago. The draw was no surprise, as some tight box presses can be a constant effort. This square stick burned very evenly and the taste made me smile the whole length and finished great. I have smoked probably a dozen so far and they have all been very consistantly constructed and burned.

Everything that is great about the wrapper and filler combo is brought to perfect balance. The flavors are exceptional without one dominating another. Great balance of flavor and strength. Right up there with the LFD Cameroon Cabinet #1 as my favorite La Flor.
This review was written about La Flor Dominicana Lancero by Joe of Hemet, CA on November 7, 2009Good but shouldn't cost more then a petit TatuajeI like these cigars. Great spice, flavors, and typical LFD nicotine punch, although this blend seems to be a bit more ligero heavy and it makes it taste a bit more bitter at times.
I've had burn and draw issues, but I think they are shipped fairly wet, so dry box them for a day or so if you intend to smoke them relatively soon after purchase.
However, even at the sale price, I wouldn't purchase them over a petit Tatuaje, which suprisingly can be found for cheaper. I do like the presentation of these in their cedar flip top case. Unfortunately, you don't smoke the packaging though.
This review was written about La Flor Dominicana Carajos (6) by Eran of Raleigh, NC on October 27, 2009Very disappointing from a favorite cigar maker.A very disappointing cigar. I really could not get a good draw and from what I did it was harsh and bitter. I tried 3 and had to toss it away after getting through only a 1/4 of the way down. Not what I expected from a favorite cigar maker of mine.
