This review was written about Carlos Torano Signature Collection Robusto 5 Pack by jj of galveston on August 16, 2010EXCELLENTGot a 5 pack , everyone had great flavor, consistent draw and burn. Usually smoke Partagas, Romeo/Julieta or Fuents, like these a bit better than the above
This review was written about Torano Signature Churchill by MIKE of PALMDALE, CA on August 2, 2010Interesting......in many ways. This was my first excursion into a different style of cigar, the Perfecto. The look of the cigar was very nice - dark, light veining and a pleasant aroma. I wondered how the burn rate would be and was surprised that it was about the same as a robusto. The start was a bit harsh but then it settled out nicely to almost a sweet note. My non cigar smoking friends didn't mind the smell. A nice addition to my collection.
This review was written about Carlos Torano Signature Perfecto by Joe of Ottawa, Canada on June 24, 2010Rather DisappointingI usually smoke Padron but like maduro so I tried these. Big mistake. The taste is bitter and unpleasant. Not what I expected. The construction was ok but when the taste is offensive one cant enjoy. Needless to say I won't be buying these again!
This review was written about Torano Signature Churchill by Dave of Virginia on April 26, 2010My First Foray Into Cigar SmokingI just spent a week in Costa Rica and discovered that I REALLY love cigars. Yes, I was smoking Cubans, and yes, so far they are untouchable, though there were some really nice Costa Ricans too. On my return, I immediately found a cigar shop to get a humidor as I did manage to bring back a box of 25 Cohibas and, not being a cigar smoker before a week ago, I had nothing to store them in. While these don't come close to the Cubans, I thoroughly enjoyed the first one right out of the package. While still learning how to rate a cigar properly, I would say that the rating on this one is deserved. Now to season them a bit before trying another! I've found that I like Maduro wrappers and figurado shapes so am currently concentrating on cigars that fit that description. Thanks to the rating system here I was able to find something that wasn't going to immediately turn me off to cigars. So the journey begins with a great start on a cigar that I can get more of!
